ORDER OF EXECUTION |
- Disconnect the battery.
- Loosen screws 1 and clips 2 of the protective trim under the steering column.
Remove the protective trim under the steering column. 1 Screws, 2 Clamps. |
- If your Mondeo has a radio remote control, then you will need to use a narrow screwdriver to release the locking clip from the rear trim of the steering column and…
- …then remove the connector plug on the remote control switch. Next, remove the switch itself.
- Now separate the upper column trim from the lower one. To do this, release the locking clip 1 on both sides using a narrow screwdriver and remove the trim 2.

- Now remove the lower steering column trim (screws are indicated by arrows).

- Remove the PATS transmitter/receiver unit. For better orientation, we will show this with the steering wheel removed.

- Now remove the steering lock. To do this, turn the ignition key 1 to position "I" and press the locking mechanism 2 into the ignition switch with a narrow screwdriver. Then pull out the locking cylinder completely.

- Carry out the installation in reverse order.
