The door contact switches for the interior lighting are located in the door catches of the middle and rear pillars. If there are any malfunctions, check the switch.

ORDER OF EXECUTION |
- Check the voltage at the door contact switches using a test lamp or multimeter.
- If there is no voltage applied to them, check the fuse first.
- If the fuse is good, check the wires from the fuse box to the door.
- Perhaps, "on the way" a wire break or a loose plug contact will be found. Also check the switch - often the contacts can be jammed or the wire terminal corroded.
- Fix the defect and then don't forget to move the entire switch back and forth with force along the sliding surfaces and lubricate it with silicone oil.
- If the switch is too tight, clean the sliding surfaces with cleaning gasoline and lightly lubricate the contacts.
- If this does not help, replace the defective switch.
