Loosen the four screws securing the main fuel jet housing, pull back the valve and separate the main fuel jet housing.
NOTE: Do not remove the metering needle; if it is damaged, the carburetor must be replaced.
Remove the bypass valve of the accelerator pump outlet. Remove the float and the needle valve. Remove the protective cap and unscrew the quality adjustment screw. Unscrew the screws securing the cover of the pneumatic drive of the gate valve, remove the cover, spring and spring seat. Remove the cover of the accelerator pump, return spring and diaphragm.
Thoroughly clean the carburetor parts and blow out the channels with compressed air. Wash the diaphragms with industrial alcohol. Check the condition of the needle valve, float, diaphragms, and main jet seat. Check the condition of the metering needle and make sure the jets are not worn. Check the installation of the metering needle locking spring. Replace the diaphragm gasket, accelerator pump diaphragm, return spring, and cover. Connect the diaphragm control drive and install the retaining ring. Install the diaphragm of the pneumatic drive of the gate valve, aligning the hole in the diaphragm with the vacuum channel in the carburetor and the drive housing. Install the spring and cover. Replace the quality screw, screw it in until it stops, and unscrew it three turns for the initial adjustment of the carburetor. Install the needle valve and float. Replace the accelerator pump ball valve and insert the weight into the hole.
While holding the valve in the open position, install a new gasket and the main fuel jet socket. Adjust the position of the valve relative to the carburetor body: the support flanges should fit against the plane of the carburetor connector. Install a new gasket and carburetor cover.
