Cleaning the carburetor
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and remove the air filter. Clean the outer surfaces of the carburetor. Unscrew the seven screws and remove the carburetor cover.
Remove gasoline from the float chamber using a syringe or clean rag. Blow out the float chamber with compressed air, being careful not to direct the air stream at the valve air duct or the accelerator pump outlet. Install the gasket, carburetor cover, and air filter.
Connect the battery. Check the idle speed and the CO content in the exhaust gases.
