Needle valve replacement

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and remove the air filter. Remove the carburetor cover. Remove the float shaft by placing the float in a position where it does not touch the needle valve.

The float cannot be removed without removing the seat of the main fuel jet. Remove the needle valve with long-nosed tweezers. Install new needle valve and float with shaft. Adjust the position of the needle valve so that under the action of the spring the needle is pressed against the float when the float chamber is filled with gasoline. Install the carburetor cover.

Install the air filter and connect the battery. Check idle speed and CO content in exhaust gases.
