At low speeds, with the accelerator pedal lightly depressed and the gearshift lever in position "D", the transmission should shift to 2nd gear at speeds below 45 km/h and to 3rd gear at speeds below 65 km/h.
1. Check the process of shifting to a lower gear (reduction) by pressing the accelerator pedal all the way (kick-down). The engine speed values corresponding to gear shifting are given in subsection 6.3.1.
2. In the event of gear shifting from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd at inappropriate engine speeds, it should be checked whether pressing the accelerator pedal all the way down at a vehicle speed of 75 km/h and in position "D" causes a gear reduction from 3rd to 2nd.
3. In position "D" at a speed of 50 km/h, pressing the accelerator pedal 3/4 of its travel should cause the gear to shift from 3rd to 2nd.
4. In the "D" position, at a speed of 90 km/h and when the accelerator pedal is released, the gear should shift from 3rd to 2nd, and in the speed range of 75–25 km/h, the gear should shift from 3rd to 1st.
5. The gearbox locking mechanism in the "P" position should ensure that the vehicle is held on a road with a large slope.
