Engine overload test by hydrokinetic transmission

The engine should only start when the gear lever is in the "R" And "N". With the engine idling, setting the gear lever to one of the positions "R", "D", "2" or "1" should cause a slight jerk of the car.

By increasing the engine speed in position "D" or "R" and with the brake pedal depressed or the handbrake lever applied, the engine must run at a speed of no more than 2600 rpm. This test should not last more than 5 seconds. The pressure values at the reference speed and at idle are given in the corresponding table in subsection 6.3.1.
