Ball joint inspection
1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.
2. Firmly grasp the outer end of the lower suspension arm and try to move the arm up and down, feeling and feeling for any play in the arm. Gap (slack) usually accompanied by an audible "click". Backlash should be completely absent.
3. If there is any play, install a new lower arm. See Section 204-01 for more information.
4. When installing a new lower arm, it is necessary to check and adjust the angles of the front wheels. For more information, see Chap. "General specifications".
