Troubleshooting
Group | Code | Cause | Troubleshooting Method |
| 13 | Coolant temperature sensor | – if the next code is 23 or 33, see group 6; – if the coolant temperature is too low, warm up the engine and repeat the check; – check the wire connections. |
| 14 24 34 | Incoming air temperature sensor | - check the wire connections; – check the resistance of the sensor (between the contacts of the electronic control device connector "25" and "46"): at 20°C: 35 – 40 Ohm; at 40°C: 15 – 18 Ohm; at 60°C: 7 – 8.5 Ohm. |
| 15 | Throttle Position Sensor | - if the next code is 25 or 35, see group 7; – check the condition of the accelerator pedal cable; - check the sensor and its wires; – if the fault still exists, replace the electronic control unit EEC IV. |
| 17 | Absolute pressure sensor | - if the next code is 25 or 35, see group 7; – check the vacuum in the intake manifold at idle – should be 400–600 mm Hg; – check the tightness of the intake manifold and compression pressure; – check the tightness of the vacuum line, battery and sensor. |
| 21 | Incorrect ignition signal "PIP" | – check the wire connections of the electronic control unit EEC IV; – check the resistance between the contacts of the electronic control device connector: "56" and "36" – 2–5 kOhm; "16" and "40" – 0–2.5 Ohm; between (+) battery and ignition coil – 0–2.5 Ohm; – replace the ignition distributor; – replace the electronic control unit EEC IV. |
| 22 23 | Coolant temperature sensor | – check the condition and connection of the connector; – check the sensor resistance: at 20°C: 35–40 Ohm; at 40°C: 15–18 Ohm; at 60°C: 7–8.5 Ohm – check the wiring harness; - replace the sensor; – replace the electronic control unit EEC IV. |
| 25 35 43 | Throttle Position Sensor | - check the connector; – check the operation of the throttle valve and accelerator pedal cable; – check the resistance between the contacts of the electronic control device connector: "26" and "46" – 315–550 Ohm; "47" and "46" – 1.2–2 kOhm; "26" and "47" – 3.5–5.5 kOhm – check electrical wires; - replace the sensor; – replace the electronic control unit EEC IV. |
| 27 37 42 | Absolute pressure sensor | - check the connector; - check the condition of the vacuum line and also whether it is original; – check the vacuum in the intake manifold at idle – should be 400–600 mm Hg; - check the electrical wires; - replace the sensor; – replace the electronic control unit EEC IV. |
| 46 47 48 | Idle speed control valve | – check the condition of the valve; – measure the resistance of the valve winding. It should be 6–9 Ohms. If the value is incorrect, replace the valve; – check the electrical wires. |
