Withdrawal



Remove the wheel cap and loosen the shaft shank nut.

Attention: The car must stand with its wheels on the site.


Loosen the rear wheel nuts on the vehicle standing on the platform. Mark the position of the front wheel on the hub with paint. Thanks to this, the balanced wheel can be installed again in its original position.

Raise the car on jack stands and remove the wheel.

Remove the brake caliper and, with the brake hose attached, hang it on a wire so that the brake hose is not twisted or stretched.

Attention: If the brake hose is disconnected, then after installation it will be necessary to remove air from the brake system. Removing the brake caliper is outlined us. 115.


Remove brake disc see p. 116.



Loosen the shaft nut.



Unscrew the 4 bolts securing the hub and remove it from the shaft shank. If the hub cannot be removed by hand, you can use a standard puller with grips.


Installation



Slide the hub onto the shaft shank. Screw in the mounting bolts and tighten them to 100 Nm.

Screw on the shaft shank nut by hand.

Install brake disc see p. 116.

Install the brake caliper see p. 115.

Screw the wheel, having previously ensured that the marks applied before removing the marks coincide.

Lower the vehicle, tighten the wheel nuts crosswise to 100 Nm.

Tighten the shaft shank nut to 270 Nm and caulk. Using a steel punch, drive the nut shoulder into the corresponding groove on the thread.

Install wheel cover.
