Removal
Remove 2 bolts securing the lower steering column trim.

Compress both arms of the traction handle lever and unfasten the handle.
Unfasten the rod at the handle and at the counter support.

Pull the rod out of the rubber insert "A" of the front wall into the engine compartment.
Remove the radiator grille, see p. 130.

Unscrew bolts "A" securing the hood lock and remove the lock.
Unfasten the hood lock rod at the counter support "B" and the lever "C".
Remove the hood lock rod from the vehicle.
Installation
Route the hood lock rod through the engine compartment.
Caution: Do not bend the rod sharply when laying it.
Hang the rod on the counter support and on the hood lock lever.
Attach the hood lock and tighten the mounting bolts.
Insert the rod through the hole in the rubber insert in the front wall.
Hang the rod on the rod handle counter support.
Hang the rod on the handle and fix the lever arms.
Place and bolt the lower steering column trim.
