Removal
1. Remove the radiator grille (paragraph 7).
2. Release the cable and its sheath from the hood lock.
3. Mark the position of the lock on the engine compartment cross member. Then unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the lock (see Fig. 10.3).
Installation and adjustment
4. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Install the lock according to the marks made during removal.
5. If the front of the hood is not parallel to the fenders, the lock can be moved up or down relative to its mounting holes. Once adjustment is complete, raise or lower the rubber bumpers to support the hood.
