Removing and installing the door (Mondeo 1 and 2)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Unscrew the screws of the door opening limiter. On the front door it is secured with two screws, on the rear door - with one (see Fig. 15.2, a, b).



3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) by turning counterclockwise. There are two connectors on the front door and one on the rear door (see Fig. 15.3).



4. Remove the fasteners from the upper and lower hinge axes (see Fig. 15.4).





5. Ask an assistant to support the door. Knock out the hinge pins with a punch (see Fig. 15.5, a, b).



6. Carefully remove the door from its hinges.

Installation

7. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. The latch should be symmetrical relative to the lock. If necessary, adjust its position before tightening the screws.
