Disassembling the differential is only necessary when the gap between the axle gears and the differential box exceeds 0.15 mm, or when the satellites or axle gears are damaged.
1. Using tool 15.026 A, remove the differential box bearings.
2. Place the differential box in a vice, loosen the bolts securing the driven gear of the main transmission and disconnect the gear from the box by carefully tapping the bolts.
3. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the gear from the differential box.
4. Remove the satellite axle mounting pin.
5. Remove the axle, satellites and their adjusting shims.
