1. Raise the car.
2. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the main gear flange and hang the shaft from the body.
3. Using tool 15.030, unscrew the nuts securing the main gear flange.
4. Remove the flange from the final drive gear using a suitable puller.
5. Remove the gear seal ring using tool 15.072.
6. Install a new sealing ring using tool 15.047 A (do not wipe off the factory grease from the sealing edge of the ring).
7. Install the flange on the main gear pinion, put on the flange mounting nut and tighten it using tool 15.030.
8. Attach the propeller shaft to the final drive gear flange.
