Location of grooves on hinges
The grooves are shown by arrows.
Constant velocity joints cannot be repaired and can only be replaced.
1. Remove the clamps securing the protective covers and remove the covers.
2. Remove the outer snap ring.
3. Remove the hinges and then the inner retaining ring.
4. Remove the protective cover from the shaft.
5. If necessary, replace worn-out elements. Protective covers must be replaced.
6. Fill the joints with 65–85 grams of solid lubricant S-MIC 75 F or SQM-IC 9004.
7. Install the inner snap ring and protective boot.
8. Install the joint on the shaft so that the groove is on the outside.
9. Install the outer snap ring.
10. Tighten the clamps securing the protective cover.
