1. Remove the drive shaft.

2. Mark the position of the protective covers and vibration damper on the shaft.

3. Thoroughly clean the outer surface of the drive shaft.

4. Disconnect the hook of the clamps securing the protective covers, remove the clamps and slide the rubber protective covers onto the shaft.

5. Mark the position of all joint parts relative to the drive shaft.

6. Remove as much grease from the joint as possible, spread the ends of the retaining ring and remove the joint housing from the shaft.

7. Completely remove any remaining grease and thoroughly clean all joint parts.

8. Check the degree of wear of the tracks and balls of the joint. If any element is worn out, the joint is replaced completely.

9. If there are even minor cracks or other defects, the protective cover must be replaced.
