2. To facilitate installation of the protective cover, lubricate the shaft with a thin layer of grease.

3. Insert the drive shaft with a new retaining ring into the joint splines until the shaft is secured with the retaining ring.
4. Pull the protective cover over the hinge and secure it with a clamp to the hinge body.

5. By sliding the flange of the protective cover along the shaft, set the required length of the cover (A) and secure it with a clamp on the shaft.
6. The clamps for fastening the protective cover are first compressed and snapped by hand, and then finally tightened with pliers.
