1. Remove the drive shaft.
2. Mark the position of the shaft to the inner ring and the transition flange to the joint housing.
3. Unscrew the six bolts and remove the adapter flange from the hinge housing.
4. Remove the retaining ring and remove the drive shaft from the joint.
5. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces on the joint housing and on the adapter flange, apply a layer of non-hardening sealing compound to them and assemble the drive shaft according to the previously applied marks. Use only Ford sealing compound 6170892
6. Install the drive shaft onto the vehicle.
