Removal and installation of the pump and motor of the ABS hydraulic unit (Scorpio 1)

1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the high pressure hose from the pump.

3. Disconnect the low pressure hose from the pump and drain the brake fluid through it.

4. Remove the multi-pin connectors from the pressure sensor and pump motor.

4. Remove the multi-pin connectors from the pressure sensor and pump motor.


5. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) securing the pump.

6. Separate the pump with the electric motor from the unit sleeve and remove them.

7. Remove the installation bushings and replace them if necessary.

8. When installing a new pump, install a pressure sensor with a new O-ring on it.

9. Install the pump into the unit bushings and connect the low pressure hose.

10. Secure the pump with a bolt.

11. Connect the high pressure hose with new sealing gaskets.

12. Install the hydraulic unit accumulator with new O-rings.

13. Connect the multi-pin connectors to the pressure sensor and the pump motor.

14. Pour brake fluid into the reservoir, turn on the ignition and allow the pump to fill with brake fluid.

Attention! The pump should operate for no more than two minutes.
