Replacing the front wheel speed sensor (Scorpio 1)

Removal



1. Loosen the nuts securing the corresponding front wheel.

2. Raise the car and remove the wheel.

3. Unscrew the rotation sensor mounting bolts.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rotation sensor.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rotation sensor.


5. Remove the sensor (indicated by the arrow).

6. Disconnect the sensor wire from the spring clips.

Installation



1. Clean the wheel speed sensor mounting socket from dirt, traces of rust, etc.

2. Lightly lubricate the sensor mounting socket with bearing grease.

3. Install a new O-ring onto the sensor.

4. Install the speed sensor into its socket.

5. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt.

6. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor and hook the electrical wire into the spring clips.

7. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.

8. Tighten the wheel nuts to the specified torque.
