You will need: keys «on 10», «at 13», «at 15», hex key «for 6».
1. Set the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car.
Note. To prevent breakage of the contact disc of the airbag, secure the steering wheel from turning with the locking mechanism of the anti-theft device of the ignition switch. To do this, remove the key from the ignition lock and slightly turn the steering wheel until the shaft is fixed with an anti-theft device.
2. In the passenger compartment under the instrument panel, unscrew the bolt of the terminal connection of the steering shaft with the steering gear shaft..
3.... and separate the shafts.
4. Remove the front suspension cross member assembly with the lower arms, steering gear and stabilizer bar (see «Removal and installation of a cross-beam of a forward suspension bracket»).
5. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the thermoscreen..
6.... and remove the thermal screen.
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of the drain pipeline..
8.... remove the tip of the pipeline from the steering mechanism..
9.... and remove the pipeline.
10. On the left side, unscrew the bolt securing the steering mechanism to the engine cross member, holding the nut from turning with the second key, and remove the bolt.
11. Similarly turn out a bolt of fastening of the steering mechanism on the right side …
12.... and remove the steering gear.
13. Establish the steering mechanism in an order, the return to removal.
14. Bleed air from the power steering system (see «Bleeding the power steering system»).
