Replacing the power steering pump (Fusion)

You will need: a 10 mm socket head, a 15 mm wrench, and pliers.

1. Remove the power steering pump drive belt (see "Replacing the power steering pump drive belt").

2. Remove the bolt securing the discharge hose bracket.

3. Unscrew the nut…

4. …and move the power steering pump delivery hose to the side.

5. Squeeze the bent ears of the clamp…

7. …and disconnect the suction hose from the power steering pump connection.

8. Unscrew the four bolts securing the power steering pump to its mounting bracket and remove the pump.

9. Install the power steering pump in the reverse order of removal.

10. Bleed the power steering system (see "Bleeding the power steering system").
