1. Remove the right fender liner (see "Removing and installing wheel mudguards and fender liners").
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see "Replacing the accessory drive belt").
3. Disconnect the return line of the power steering pump from the reservoir, drain the working fluid from the power steering reservoir and hose into a suitable container.
4. Disconnect the power steering pump return line from the pump and remove it.
5. Disconnect the line bracket from the vehicle body, marking the bracket position to facilitate further installation.
6. Disconnect the steering gear pressure line from the bracket.

7. Remove the fastening screw…

8. …and disconnect the line support bracket from the steering gear housing.
9. Open the bracket and remove it.

10. Unscrew the mounting bolt…

11. …fold back the retainer and disconnect the pressure line from the steering gear.

12. Unscrew the two lower bolts securing the power steering pump (Fig. 8.2).

Fig. 8.3. Upper mount of the power steering pump: 1 - connector of the wiring harness of the pressure sensor in the hydraulic system of the power steering; 2 – upper pump mounting bolts
13. Disconnect connector 1 (Fig. 8.3) of the wiring harness from the pump, unscrew the two bolts 2 securing the pump and remove the pump assembly with the pressure line of the steering gear.
14. Clamp the pump in a vice with soft metal jaws, unscrew the pressure line fastening nut and remove the line.
NOTE: The tightness of the connection between the pressure line and the pump is ensured by a Teflon seal, which must be replaced each time the connection is disassembled. Since a special device is required to install the seal, we recommend not to disassemble the connection unless absolutely necessary.
15. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal and bleed the power steering system (see "Bleeding the power steering system").
NOTE: Repairing the power steering pump requires special equipment. Therefore, replace the faulty pump with a new one or contact a service center.
