Replacing the power steering fluid reservoir (Fusion)

You will need a container to drain the power steering fluid.

You will need a container to drain the power steering fluid.


1. Squeeze the clamps, disconnect the power steering drain hose from the reservoir hose and drain the working fluid from the reservoir into a previously prepared container.

2. Squeeze the suction hose tip clamps…

2. Squeeze the suction hose tip clamps…


3. …and disconnect the tip from the tank nipple.



3. …and disconnect the tip from the tank nipple.


4. Remove the power steering reservoir from the bracket on the front panel…

4. Remove the power steering reservoir from the bracket on the front panel…


5. …and remove the power steering fluid reservoir from the engine compartment.

Caution! To prevent the working fluid from leaking out of the hoses, raise them above the working fluid level and secure them to the front panel.


6. Install the power steering fluid reservoir in the reverse order of removal.

7. Bleed the power steering system (see "Bleeding the power steering system").
