Removal


1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.

2. Using a special tool, remove the crankshaft pulley. Discard the bolt as it is no longer needed.

3. Using a special tool, remove the crankshaft seal. Discard the seal as it is no longer needed.

Installation

NOTE: Install a new front crankshaft seal.


Using the special tool, install the front crankshaft seal.

Vehicles without common rail fuel injection

NOTE: Install a new crankshaft pulley bolt.


Using a special tool, install the crankshaft pulley.
  • Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt in two stages.
  • Stage 1: 90 Nm
  • Stage 2: 90 degrees

Stage 2: 90 degrees


Vehicles with common rail fuel injection system

3.
NOTE: Install a new crankshaft pulley bolt.


Using a special tool, install the crankshaft pulley.
  • Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt in two stages.
  • Stage 1: 110 Nm
  • Stage 2: 255 Nm

Stage 2: 255 Nm


All cars



4. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.
