Removal
1. Remove the camshaft. For more information, refer to the Camshaft chapter in this section.
2. Set the appropriate piston to the top dead center position.
3. Using special tools, remove the valve springs.
4. Using the special tool, remove the valve stem oil seals.
Installation
1.
NOTE: When installing valve stem oil seals, cover the seal grooves on the valve stems with tape.
NOTE: Apply oil to the valve stem oil seals.
Using a special tool, install the valve stem oil seals.
2. Using special tools, install the valve springs.
3. Install the camshaft. For more information, refer to the Camshaft chapter in this section.
