Withdrawal
All cars
1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator. See Section 414-01 for more information.
2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. For more information, refer to the chapter Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding Air from the Cooling System found in this section.
3. Remove the air baffle.
4. Disconnect the charge air cooler intake pipe.
5. Disconnect the charge air cooler outlet pipe and disconnect the air intake temperature sensor electrical connector (IAT).
6. Remove the charge air cooler.
7. Disconnect the coolant hose. Use a special tool.
Vehicles with 75 hp diesel engine or 90 hp
8. Disconnect the electrical connector for the glow plug wire.
All cars
9. Disconnect the dipstick of the oil level indicator and fix it to the side (shows a car with a 75 hp diesel engine. or 90 hp, for a vehicle with a 115 hp diesel engine. likewise).
10. Disconnect the coolant hose (shows a car with a 75 hp diesel engine. or 90 hp, for a vehicle with a 115 hp diesel engine. likewise).
Vehicles with 75 hp diesel engine or 90 hp
11. Disconnect the coolant hose.
12. Remove the thermostat housing. Discard the gasket as it is no longer needed.
Vehicles with a 115 hp diesel engine
13. Disconnect the plug connector for the intake metering valve.
14. Disconnect the wiring harness from the thermostat housing and secure it out of the way.
15. Turn out bolts of fastening of the case of the thermostat.
16. Disconnect the coolant hose and remove the thermostat housing. Discard the gasket as it is no longer needed.
Installation
All cars

NOTE: Install a new thermostat housing gasket.
Reinstall the elements in reverse order.

Vehicles with a 115 hp diesel engine
