Removal
1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. For more information, refer to the Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System chapter in this section.
2. Disconnect the coolant hoses.
3. Remove the thermostat cover bolts.
4. Remove the thermostat.
5. Remove the rubber seal and discard it as no longer needed.
Installation
1.
NOTE: Install a new rubber seal.
Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
2. Fill the cooling system. For more information, refer to the Draining/Filling Coolant and Bleeding the Cooling System chapter in this section.
