Disassembly
1.
NOTE: Disconnect driveshaft from transmission.
Disconnect the axle from the gearbox side. Clamp the front axle shaft in a vise.
- 1.Pull back the cover. Pull back the cover.
- 2.Pull back the tripod joint assembly.
2. Pull back the tripod joint assembly.
- Pull back the tripod joint (continuation).
3. Pull back the tripod joint assembly.
- Detach the cover from the side of the wheel.
4. Detach the cover from the side of the wheel.
- Remove the cover from the transmission side.
- Remove the cover from the transmission side.
- General comment.
Assembly
1. Replace retaining rings and clamps.
- Put on the cover from the side of the wheel and stretch it in the direction of the gearbox.
2.
NOTE: Put on the boot from the side of the wheel and stretch it towards the gearbox.
Attach the cover to the side of the wheel.
- Stuff the axle joint using approximately 60 g of outer joint grease (initial filling volume 100 g).
- Press the cover into the groove on the axle shaft.
1.Install the protective cover in the desired position and remove the screwdriver.
2. Place the small and large clamps in the ring groove of the boot and tighten them with the clamping wrench (shown from gearbox side).
3. Lay the small and large clamps in the ring groove of the boot and tighten them with the clamping wrench (shown from gearbox side).
4. Establish a cover from outside a transmission.
- Insert the clamp into the annular groove of the boot and tighten it with a clamping tool.
5.
CAUTION: Secure the tripod joint assembly.
Attach the tripod joint assembly.
- Using the special tool, install the tripod joint assembly onto the front drive axle shaft and push it in until it stops.
6.
NOTE: Attach the tripod joint assembly (continuation).
Attach the tripod joint assembly.
- Install the propeller shaft on the transmission side.
7. Establish a semiaxis from outside a transmission.
- Use grease on the inner joint (filling volumes are specified in "General specifications").
1.Install the protective cover in the desired position and remove the screwdriver.
2.Slide the tripod joint all the way inward, then pull it out 20mm.
- Remove screwdriver.
8. Insert the clamp into the annular groove of the boot and tighten it with a clamping tool.
