Loosen the axle shaft mounting nuts in the hubs.
Block the front wheels (press the brake pedal). Unscrew the axle shaft mounting nuts.
Disconnect the suspension columns from the wishbones (Fig. 3.57).
Disconnect the outer ends of the cross rods from the shoulders of the steering knuckles (Fig. 3.58).
Remove the axle shafts from the gearbox.
Tilt the suspension column outward and remove the axle shaft from the wheel hubs.
