Install the axle shaft into the wheel hub.
Insert the half shaft with the new expansion ring into the hole in the differential crown wheel. Insert the half shaft so far that you can feel the expansion ring expand.
The half shaft can be inserted into the wheel bore only to the depth that the weld seam allows it to go. The weld seam must remain completely outside the crown wheel bore. The remaining assembly steps are performed in the reverse order to the sequence adopted during the removal of the half shaft.
