Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.
Place jacks under the rear axle beam and raise them enough so that the weight of the beam is supported by the jacks.
Loosen the bolts and nuts securing the rear beam to the body, then lower the beam until the bushings come out of the suspension support. When lowering the beam, watch the stretching of the brake hoses. Using a steel tubular mandrel of suitable diameter, flat washers, a long bolt and nut, remove the bushing from the rear axle beam.
Clean the bushing seat and lubricate the new bushing with soapy water. Using a tubular mandrel, washers, bolt and nut, install the new bushing in place.
Raise the rear axle beam and secure it to the suspension support. Do not fully tighten the rear axle pivot bolts to the suspension support at this stage. Lower the vehicle and tighten the rear axle pivot bolts to the specified torque.
