Removal

Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.
On vehicles with ABS, unscrew the pressure regulator rod on the rear suspension beam.
Unscrew the lower shock absorber strut mounting nut. Unload the rear wheel. To do this, lift the rear wheel with a jack or crowbar and remove the strut mounting bolt (see Fig. 10.29).

In the trunk, use a lever to remove the protective cap from the upper part of the shock absorber strut (see Fig. 10.30).

Unscrew the 2 nuts of the upper shock absorber mount.
Caution: Do not remove the upper shock absorber strut mounting bolt.
Remove the rear shock absorber from under the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:
- insert the shock absorber strut and screw it to the body from above with two nuts to the required torque;
- insert the rack from below into the grip of the longitudinal arm and screw in the bolt without tightening it completely. Lower the car and tighten the bolt to the required torque.
