Removal
Remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle.
Using a press, press the hub out of the inner bearing races.
Remove the inner ring of one bearing remaining on the hub using a puller.
Using a drift, knock the outer bearing ring (without distorting it) out of the steering knuckle (see Fig. 10.9).

Completely clean the bearing locations on the steering knuckle and hub.
Installation
Using a tubular drift, insert the outer races of the hub bearings into the steering knuckle (see Fig. 10.10).

Using a tubular mandrel, support the inner bearing race and press the hub into it. Install the second inner bearing race and rotate the hub in the bearings to check that the bearings are installed correctly.
