Remember: Always replace both the inner and outer bearings with new ones at the same time, and make sure the outer race and cone of each bearing are made by the same company.
1. Remove the front wheel hub from the steering knuckle as described in previous Section.
2. Remove the inner oil seal from the hub by prying it up with a suitable screwdriver or similar tool.
3. Remove the inner and outer hub bearing cones (see figure 3.3).

4. Remove the outer bearing races from the hub using a suitable soft metal punch or drift. Be careful not to damage the inner bore of the hub.
5. Support the hub and install the new bearing outer races into their seats using a suitable tubular punch. Make sure the outer rings are seated correctly (until full contact with the supporting surfaces inside the hub).
6. Lubricate the cones and outer races of the bearings with wheel bearing grease, then install the cones in place. The position of the outer cone can be adjusted later (after the hub is installed on the steering knuckle).
7. Install a new oil seal onto the inside of the hub.
8. Install the front wheel hub as described in previous Section, and adjust the backlash.
