Replacing coolant hoses

            0

If a coolant hose bursts while driving in your vehicle, temporarily seal the leak with duct tape. For reliability, loosen the radiator cap a little: then the working pressure will not be able to rise and the patched place will last until the final repair. Keep an eye on the engine temperature gauge while driving and take no risk with the temperature. Buy only original hoses as spare parts, as they are guaranteed to fit and do not harden after a short time; you should also take a good look at the hose clamps - replace rusty clamps.

Stages of work

Drain the coolant into a container.

Loosen hose clamps, remove hoses.

Loosen tightly fitting hose ends with a screwdriver Insert a screwdriver between the hose and fitting and then gently pry off each connected fitting.

Install the new Vaseline hoses and slide them far enough over the fittings so that they cannot slip during the ride.

After dismantling the radiator hoses or fuel hoses, you must replace the clamping hose clamps 1 and 2 with screw hose clamps 3. which do not cut into the hose so deeply and their clamping effect is significantly better dosed and distributed.
