
Check: vigorously flush the warm coolant hoses. This is the only way to detect possible cracks or other damage.
Replace hard, brittle or cracked hoses immediately. You can determine the actual condition by visual inspection or, even better, by kneading the hoses.
Are the ends of the hoses firmly seated on their fittings?
Are all hose clamps securely fastened? If not, the ends of the hoses may slip off the connecting pipes while driving and when the engine is warm. Rusty hose clamps should be replaced immediately.
