SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Check the condition and reliability of the cooling system hoses on the radiator and engine, as well as the hoses going to the heater radiator. A leak can be easily identified by white deposits around the leaky area.

2. Check that there are no cracks in the hoses. If, by squeezing and bending the hoses, you find that they are hard and brittle, replace them (Fig. 6.3).
3. Check that all hoses are pushed onto the fittings as far as they will go.
4. Check that all hoses are securely clamped. With the cooling system at full operating pressure, loose or corroded clamps may not hold the hose to the pipe, resulting in a loss of coolant. Damaged clamps must be replaced immediately.
