Removing the radiator

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Raise the front of the car. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal (terminal «31») and a connector from the radiator fan motor. Remove the wire from the guides.

2. Remove the bottom facing of a radiator.

3. Remove the bottom plug, drain and collect the coolant. Loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the radiator pipes.

4. In the version with CTX, clean and unscrew the hoses from the oil cooler, then close the holes with plugs to prevent leakage of the working fluid.

5. Support the radiator with a jack, do not forget about the intermediate gasket. Loosen the bolts of the left and right radiator mounts (pic. 6.11).

6. Jack down the radiator together with the fan.

7. Before installation, check the rubber tips on the radiator for damage and cracks. Lubricate rubber parts with a thin layer of technical vaseline.

8. From below, insert the radiator assembly into the engine compartment. Make sure that the upper mounting tabs of the radiator are correctly installed.

9. Tighten the radiator mounting bolts to 15 Nm.

Carry out further installation of the radiator in the reverse order of removal.
