He who lubricates well, rides well - a drop of oil, a well-dosed grease or a drop of silicone sometimes work wonders: smooth running is maintained by what usually creaks, jams, tears or rusts. You should remember the following basic rule: in all places where grease cannot reach, such as in hinges and joints with a tight fit, the first choice is oil or lubricating spray. Surfaces that rub against each other are better lubricated with lubricating paste or silicone grease.
Periodically spray the hinges of the doors, hood and rear lid with liquid oil.
Door latches will operate silently with a general purpose grease.
It is advisable to treat the door, hood and rear lid lock clamps with grease spray or lubricating paste. Where the cables are visible, for example at the hood lock plate, apply a little grease and tighten it into the cable sheath by moving the lever several times.
The lock drums, including the key guides, should be treated with silicone spray and prepared for winter no later than the beginning of the cold season: silicone lubricates, displaces moisture and protects against rust. In this case, frost will not have a chance to block the lock.
Lubricate the bonnet stop bracket with oil at the lower hinge pin.
Lubricate the hood hinges with oil or apply a lubricating spray.
