Removing the windshield washer nozzle (Focus Turnier 1)

It is advisable to immediately dismantle clogged nozzles and blow them out with compressed air in the direction of the hose connection. Carefully pierce persistent blockages with a thin wire - also in the direction of the connection with the hose. If this does not work, replace the nozzle and, if possible, immediately install a commercially available fuel filter in the windshield washer water supply pipe. A fine-pored filter will ensure the nozzles are clean.

Stages of work

Open the hood and remove the insulating material from the hood (push the spring clips with a screwdriver).

Before removing the water supply hose from the nozzle, heat it slightly with a lighter.

Press the fastening tabs with your fingers, while simultaneously pushing the nozzle out of the hood (if necessary, push the nozzle out of the hood with a screwdriver - in this case, protect the varnish with a lining!).

When installing, insert the nozzle "into the grooves" in the hood from the outside. Be sure to ensure that the nozzle sits firmly, otherwise there will be problems with its adjustment.

Attach the water supply hose and adjust the nozzle as described above.

Attach insulation material to the hood.
