Removal

Disconnect the air hose from the snorkel.
OHC Engine: Disconnect the red vacuum hose from the tee on the bottom of the air filter.

in the air filter cover, unscrew the bolts "10" with the lining and sealing "11" washers. The figure shows the air filter of a DOHC carburetor engine.
Disconnect hose "6" of the engine crankcase ventilation system from the cylinder head cover, for which first squeeze the ends of clamp "12" with pliers and move it back.
Raise the air filter slightly and disconnect the vacuum hose "4" from the carburetor.
Disconnect the air filter with the heated air supply hose from the carburetor.
Cover the inlet of the carburetor pipe with a clean cloth.
Installation
Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
Connect the heated air hose to the exhaust manifold.
Remove the rag from the carburetor pipe and put the air filter on it.
Insert and tighten the bolts with sealing and lining washers.
Connect a vacuum hose to the tee or, respectively, the carburetor.
DOHC engine: Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover and secure it with a clamp.
Connect the air hose to the snorkel and secure with a quick release fastener.
Turbocharged diesel engine and fuel injection petrol engine
Removal

Loosen the clamps and disconnect the air hoses "A". The picture shows a V6 engine.
Disconnect the plug connector "B" of the air flow meter.
Disconnect the "C" hose of the crankcase ventilation system.

Release the arrow clamps and remove the air filter cover.
Remove the replacement air filter element.
If equipped, disconnect the EGR hose.

From the wheel arch side, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the air filter housing from the engine compartment.
Installation
Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
Place the air filter housing and screw it on with bolts from the wheel arch side.
If equipped, connect the EGR hose.
Insert the replacement air filter element, attach the filter housing cover and secure with clamps.
Connect the crankcase ventilation hose.
Connect the plug connector of the air flow meter.
Connect the air hoses and secure them with clamps.
Naturally aspirated diesel engine
Removal

Unscrew the 4 fastening nuts and remove the air filter cover. A - air filter housing fastening bolts; B-hose.
Remove the replacement air filter element.
Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the air filter housing.
Cover the inlet with a clean cloth.
Installation
Wipe the air filter housing with a clean cloth.
Remove the cloth from the intake opening and place the air filter housing.
Insert and tighten the bolts with washers.
Insert the replacement air filter element, attach the filter housing cover and tighten the mounting nuts.
