Attention: Throttle linkage is very sensitive to buckling and must be handled with care during installation. One slight longitudinal fracture can later lead to breakage during movement. Therefore, rods that have been bent cannot be installed.
Withdrawal
V6-DOHC engine: Remove 4 engine cover bolts.
Pull out the bracket of the adjusting element of the gas draft.
Pull retaining clip -2- upwards, against direction of arrow, out of counterholder.
Pull the throttle valve nipple -1- out of the slot in the segment on the throttle valve shaft. On a diesel engine, press the spherical end of the throttle valve from the injection pump lever.
If the gas draft must be removed completely. from the passenger compartment, unfasten the traction nipple from the accelerator pedal. From the side of the engine compartment, pull the gas traction together with the rubber insert from the front wall.
Installation
The gas draft is installed in the reverse order. Attach the rubber insert to the front wall. Hook the throttle link first on the accelerator pedal and then on the segment at the throttle.
Slide on the rubber insert at the counter-support.
Adjust the gas draft using the adjusting bracket.
V6-DOHC engine: Tighten the 4 engine cover bolts.
