Removing and installing loudspeakers

Depending on the trim level of the vehicle, speakers may be installed in the front door, on the rear shelf and on the front panel.

Front door speakers



1. Remove the front door interior trim.

2. Unscrew the four screws securing the loudspeaker.

3. Remove speaker and disconnect wires.

Rear shelf speakers



Hatchback body



1. Remove the speaker grille by unscrewing it counterclockwise.

2. Unscrew the four screws securing the loudspeaker.

3. Pull down the loudspeaker and disconnect the wires.

Body Sedan





4. Unscrew a single bolt from the inside (indicated by an arrow) speaker mounts.

5. Remove the loudspeaker up and disconnect the wires from it.

Front panel speakers



1. Remove the upper part of the dashboard.



2. Unscrew two screws (arrow) speaker bracket.


3. Remove the loudspeaker together with the bracket and disconnect the wires.

4. Unscrew the two screws securing the bracket to the loudspeaker.

Antenna amplifier



Hatchback Antenna Amplifier





The amplifier is indicated by an arrow.

On the Hatchback body, the antenna is the element of the rear window defroster. An amplifier is installed in the tailgate to ensure good radio reception.

On the sedan body, the antenna amplifier is located under the rear panel.

Hatchback body



1. Remove the rear door trim panel, which is secured with eleven screws.

2. Unscrew the two screws securing the amplifier. Disconnect the wires from the amplifier and remove it.

3. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

Body Sedan





4. Unscrew two screws (indicated by arrows) fasteners, lower the amplifier, disconnect the connector and remove the amplifier from the vehicle.


Control panel on the rear console



1. Remove the heater control knob.

2. Unscrew the two screws from the top corners of the rear console.

3. Remove the volume and balance controls.



4. Pull out the console and disconnect the wires from it.

5. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
