Power steering pump type "R"



1. Clean the outside of the pump.

2. Secure the pump in a vice with soft jaws behind the housing, with the drive shaft down.

3. Remove the stud, fitting and O-ring from the back of the pump.

4. Remove the tank and O-rings from the housing.



5. Insert the rod into the hole in the pump housing opposite the flow control valve, compress the retaining ring to fix the flange, and using a screwdriver, remove the retaining ring.




6. Remove flange (1), clamping spring (2) and sealing ring.

7. Remove the pump from the vise, turn it over and remove the flow valve and spring.

8. Remove the circlip from the shaft and remove the shaft.

9. Remove pump ring, vanes, rotor and flange.

10. Remove the two guides and the driveshaft O-ring.



11. Remove and clean the magnet (indicated by an arrow), after noting its position.

12. Rinse and clean all pump parts.

13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, and the following steps must be performed.

14. Only install a new drive shaft seal.



15. Install the sealing ring of the clamping flange in the third groove (arrow) from the back of the case.


16. Check that the guides fit into the holes in the clamping flange.



17. The arrows on the pump ring must point upwards.

18. Install the flange O-ring into the second groove on the housing. Before installing the O-rings, they must be lubricated with oil.

Power steering pump type "TS"





1 - tank, 2 - retaining ring, 3 - flange, 4, 9, 12, 19 - sealing ring, 5 - rotor, 6 - guides, 7 - ring, 8 - clamping flange, 10 - spring, 11 - guide pin, 13 - sleeve, 14 - flange, 15 - drive shaft, 16 - retaining ring, 17 - flange, 18 - tank mounting brackets, 20 - spring, 21 - valve, 22 - fitting


1. Clean the outside of the pump.

2. Remove the two reservoir retaining clips and the reservoir from the pump housing.


3. Remove the fitting, valve and spring.

4. Remove the flange from the pump drive shaft.

5. Remove the bearing circlip, remove the drive shaft and bearing from the pump. Remove the drive shaft seal from the pump housing.

6. Remove the flange retaining ring by compressing it with a suitable rod. Press the center of the flange with a 13 mm rod from the side of the drive shaft and press the flange out. Remove the flange seal.

7. Remove bushing from pump.

8. Rinse and clean all pump parts.

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, and the following steps must be performed.

10. Check that the guides fit into the holes in the clamping flange.

11. The splined end of the rotor should be pointing up.

12. Install the drive shaft flange by screwing a bolt with a washer into the shaft, which will press the flange onto the shaft.

13. Before installing the O-rings, they must be lubricated with oil. Install only new O-rings.
