Removal and installation of a mudguard of the engine

            0

The engine mudguard, located in the engine compartment on the bottom right, protects the engine compartment from contamination and is not a power crankcase protection.

Note. To protect the engine crankcase, as well as all components and assemblies located in the engine compartment, from damage by stones flying out from under the wheels, a plastic or steel shield can be installed on the car on request. However, it should be borne in mind that this shield is not able to protect the engine crankcase from strong impacts against large road obstacles (large stones, stumps, curbs, etc.), since in this case he himself may be damaged and will not be able to protect the engine crankcase from damage.

Remove the engine mudguard if it is damaged or to provide access to the components and assemblies from the bottom of the car during repairs and maintenance. This section describes the removal and installation of only the engine mudguard, since the additional engine crankcase protection is fixed in each case individually (depending on its design).

You will need: TORX T30 key, knife.
