WARNING: Vehicles equipped with a catalytic converter must not be started by towing or pushing. This can lead to overheating and failure of the converter. If the battery is dead, do not attempt to start the engine by towing or pushing the vehicle.


For towing a car (or use it as a towing vehicle) Attach the cable only in places specially designed for this purpose on the front and rear of the vehicle.

1. Open the trunk.



2. Remove the floor mat..



3. …and take out the spare tire (cm. «Wheel replacement»).



4. Remove the towing eye from the holders on the jack.




5. Loosen the jack bolt…



6.... and take the wrench for the wheel nuts.



7. In order to install the towing eye from the front, pry the trim on the right side of the car with a screwdriver..



NOTE: Insert a screwdriver into the specially provided hole.





8.... and, overcoming the force of the clamps, remove the trim.



9. Screw in the towing eye by hand, turning it counterclockwise (on the lug left-hand thread) …



10.... and tighten the eyelet using the wrench as a wrench.



11. In order to install the towing eye at the rear, pry off the plug in the rear bumper on the right side of the car with a screwdriver..




12.... and remove the plug.



13. Screw in the towing eye by hand, turning it counterclockwise (on the lug left-hand thread) …



14.... and tighten the eyelet using the wrench as a wrench.

15. Remove the lug in reverse order.

Before towing your vehicle, turn the ignition key to the «0» and turn on the light signaling according to the Rules of the road. Manual transmission control lever (automatic transmission selector lever) set to neutral (position «N»). If possible, tow the vehicle with the engine running so that the force on the steering wheel and brake pedal is not increased.

WARNING: The vacuum brake booster and power steering only operate when the engine is running. Therefore, take into account the fact that when towing a car with an idle engine, the force on the brake pedal and steering wheel increases sharply.
