The driver of the towed vehicle must keep the towing rope taut at all times. Before starting to move, agree on the route with the towing driver.
The towing vehicle must drive at a moderate speed, start and brake smoothly, and begin slowing down well before intersections. The towing distance must be minimal.
On models with automatic transmission, take extra precautions to avoid damaging the transmission. If you are unsure about the correctness of your actions, it is better to refuse towing.
