Removal and installation of the heating (air conditioning) and interior ventilation control unit

You will need: TORX T25 wrench, flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the central overlay of the instrument panel (cm. «Removal and installation of the instrument panel»).



3. Remove the two screws securing the heating control unit (conditioning) and interior ventilation to the instrument panel and move the unit away from the panel.



4. Using a screwdriver, pry off the holder of the cable for controlling the temperature control dampers of the air entering the passenger compartment, overcoming the elastic resistance, remove it from the block socket..




5.... and disconnect from the block.



6. Remove the tip of the cable from the finger of the sector for controlling the dampers for regulating the temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment, overcoming the elastic resistance of the plastic parts.



7. Remove the tip of the flexible shaft of the drive from the drive for controlling the air distribution damper, overcoming the elastic resistance of the plastic parts.




8. Squeezing the latches, disconnect from the block the common block of the wiring harnesses of the switches for the air conditioner and the recirculation mode..



9.... block of the wiring harness for the fan operation mode switch..



10.... and remove the heating control unit (conditioning) and interior ventilation.

11. Install the heating control unit (conditioning) and interior ventilation and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
